For example, M-Trends 2010 discussed how phishing was the most common and successful method APT groups were using to gain initial access to an organization. That hasn’t changed. Many of the case studies in M-Trends 2020 also begin with phishing, perpetuating the widely held belief that people are typically the weakest link in the security chain.
